The Packaging Technology Technical Committee provides a forum for industry stakeholders to collaborate to create voluntary guidelines and best practices to benefit the industry as a whole. The Packaging Technology Technical Committee promotes the understanding of shared beverage packaging challenges and innovative beverage packaging technologies.

The objectives / goals of the committee include: Focus on reviewing and updating relevant test methods. Serve as a forum for beverage manufacturers and can makers to collaborate on metal packaging challenges, creating best practices and guidelines where possible.
The objectives / goals of the committee include: Gain insight and/or establish a relationship between test methods for accurate comparatives. Initial focus will be methods review as it pertains to CO2 shelf life testing only, and issues that affect CO2 shelf life measurements.
